These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Idle Stories / Void Games app (“the app”). The app is made by Void Games (Jarosław Karaś), Poland (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Idle Stories is an anthology of atmospheric, text-based interactive-fiction (horror) games. Some stories are free; others offer a free opening and a one-time purchase to unlock the full story. Stories are delivered as downloadable data packs. The app needs no account — we never ask for your name, email, or a login.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app and its stories for your own private entertainment on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to the rules of the app store you obtained it from (Apple App Store or Google Play). You do not buy the content itself — you buy the right to use it.
You agree not to: copy, redistribute, sell, or publicly perform the stories or their text, images, audio or voice recordings; reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the content or assets except as permitted by law; circumvent the purchase/unlock mechanism; or use the app in any unlawful way. The free opening of a paid story is provided for evaluation only.
The app lets you give a 1–5 rating and records which story endings you have reached, tied only to a random anonymous identifier (never to your identity). You grant us the right to store and display this data in aggregate (e.g. average ratings, how many players reached how many endings). Do not submit anything unlawful. See our Privacy Policy.
The app and all its content — stories, text, characters, artwork, music, sound and voice recordings, and the “Void Games” / “Idle Stories” names — are owned by Void Games or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The stories are works of horror fiction and may contain disturbing themes, unsettling imagery and strong language. They are fictional. Please respect the app’s store age rating and use your own judgement; the app is not directed at children.
We may add, change, or remove stories and features, and may suspend or discontinue the app or its content servers, at any time. Downloadable stories require an internet connection and our content delivery to be available. We may update these Terms; the “Effective” date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be available.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Void Games will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under applicable law (including mandatory Polish and EU consumer law).
Your use is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded from. For the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms. For Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
